Outdoors

What the day has to offer

The beach in the north of Usedom slopes gently and is wide enough that sandcastles do not have to be built next to the neighbour’s towel. With an onshore wind the Baltic here is gentler than the open North Sea.

  • Butterfly farm Trassenheide — approx. 3 km, works in the rain too
  • Historical Technical Museum Peenemünde — approx. 9 km, better for older children
  • Usedomer Bäderbahn — the whole island without a car, bikes on board

Honestly

Who this hotel is not for

13 rooms, no kids’ club, no pool, no entertainment team. Anyone looking for a holiday club where the children are supervised all day will be disappointed.

Anyone who wants to head out early with bucket and spade, fetch ice cream in the afternoon and eat pizza in the restaurant in the evening without packing first — this fits.
