To the Baltic with a dog — two rooms are made for it

Dogs are welcome on request. Two of the 13 rooms are explicitly set up for it, both with their own outdoor space, so the early morning does not happen in the stairwell.

The widest beach on the island is in the north

Karlshagen lies on the northern stretch of the Usedom beach — where it is wide and, in spring and autumn, almost empty. For long runs along the water that is the better half of the island.

Behind the dune the forest begins: the Peenemünde woods run north and are the more comfortable loop in strong wind or midday heat.

Karlshagen has its own designated dog beach — it lies just south of the main beach access, a few minutes from the hotel.

What to know before you book

  • The dog has to be declared when booking — there is a notes field in the booking step, or simply call.
  • Both dog-friendly rooms have their own outdoor space: a large sea-facing terrace and a south-facing terrace.
  • The room with the large terrace is also the hotel’s wheelchair-accessible room and sleeps up to four.
  • Nightly fee, bowls, blankets and whether the dog may join you in the restaurant: [PLACEHOLDER — please confirm with the hotel]

If both rooms are taken, a call is still worth it — short-notice cancellations happen and do not show up in the calendar immediately.
